REFILL PROCESS
1. Sell your 2 lb., 4 lb. or 11 lb. jars of ColorStar or NutriStar products at the regular selling price.
2. Allow your customers to return with the appropriate jar and refill the jar at a discount. *Note: The law requires that the jar have the original analysis label attached and be refilled with the same product.
3. Through the refill program repeat business is built up, and new business is attracted to your nursery from other nurseries who aren’t offering the discount.
SETUP EXAMPLE
A bulk display unit for ColorStar is set up on a 12’’ deep shelf by the length you choose. Set multiple rows of two pound ColorStar two jars high. On the next shelf use four pound ColorStar jars to make a ribbon display, and on the next shelf 11 pound jars to continue the ribbon. On lower shelves, bags of ColorStar can be merchandised.
Repeat this display with any of the NutriStar products that deserve a bulk display in your store. You might consider some of these products seasonal- with our dispensers you are able to switch your display to fit the season!
The bulk display(s) should be merchandised with your entire line of Nelson Plant Food products. You will be adding bulk display units as sales increase on the various items and customer requests increase.
HOW TO REFILL YOUR DISPENSERS
Buy 50 lb. bags of ColorStar or NutriStar products from your distributor for filling the bulk displays. Your cost is a fraction of the cost of buying filled jars. Your savings include no jar, lid, or label costs plus the filling of the jar, and the cost of shipping the box. You are able to save your customers money, provide a recycling service and make money for your business- a win/win situation for everyone!
